L I M E H O U S E

While studying sculpture in Italy, Jason made his first bag, a small sack made from shop remnants, to carry the hammers, chisels and other tools of his trade. Soon after, in Florence, he learned the traditional art of mask making in leather and fell in love with this most ancient material, and began a serious study of the craft in London and New York.  

 

Each Limehouse bag is entirely hand crafted by Jason, without machines, from design, the selection of hides at the tannery, cutting, punching, hand sewing & riveting, to finishing & polishing. It is a rare and uncompromising commitment to a profound yet simple philosophy
